Al-Aqaria started its operations 1980 as a real estate company with property Management & Maintenance, Project Management and Cleaning & Security divisions. In April 2004, the company's capital wan increased to KD 30 millions and due to its ambitious expansion and growth plans, Al-Aqaria was able to list on the Kuwait Stock Exchange on April 2005.

| Al-Aqaria changed to a Holding Company form May 2006, having spun off its existing divisions into a project Management Company (Real Estate), a Maintenance Services Company and Construction Company. Currently Al-Aqaria is in the process of establishing an Investment Company, Energy Company (setting up a refinery), Transportation Company, Education Company and finally a Healthcare Company. |
